Ukulele (and Choir)

This is a page that is pure indulgence on my part.

Eighteen months ago, Gordon and I each bought a ukulele and enrolled at the local Kalamunda Community Learning Centre for their Ukulele Fun classes … and what fun it is.  We’re still going each Friday and thoroughly enjoy the morning with a bunch of like minded people.

In the past six months we’ve also joined a more advanced group on a Monday night to improve and stretch our skills and technique.  With this group, the Kalamunda Ukulele Collective, we are getting out in public and performing.  Both groups are so much fun and I’m finally doing something I’ve always wanted to do … play and instrument and sing.

This video link is from a gig a month or so ago and is just one of the songs we performed.  We’re still novices at this but it is so much fun …

Previously, for three years I was a part of the Born to Sing combined choirs.  If you want to listen to the Born to Sing combined choirs singing, here’s a few videos.

You’re Sixteen and California Dreaming are from some of our performances at the inaugural Guildford Songfest in September 2017.

Scroll down for further videos 🙂

The next two … Can You Feel The Love and Only You are from our Christmas in July 2017 concert to raise funds for Variety Kids.  We raised over $3,000!!!
